McConnells Mill State Park is located on Slippery Rock Creek just north of Pittsburgh PA. There is a trail on both sides of this park that is only a little challenging.  A great place to raft, kayak, and if you are really good, canoe when the water is up in the spring or just after a good rain. This run is not for beginners! 

There are plenty of places to sit along the creek to photograph from, paint, fish, or just enjoy the sounds of the water as it makes it’s way.  There are several class three rapids that can develop into class four with enough run off.
